Ending the waiting period satisfies a condition of the process for closing the acquisition, a news release said.
Under an agreement between the two companies, CSK shareholders will receive $11 of O’Reilly common stock, subject to a collar, and $1 in cash for each CSK share. The acquisition, valued at about $1 billion, is expected to close this summer.
The acquisition would nearly double Springfield-based O’Reilly’s stores to about 3,200 and give it presence in the Western half of the country. The companies in 2007 had combined revenues of about $4.4 billion.
