Springfield-based auto parts retailer O'Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY) has entered a sponsorship agreement with Stone County theme park Silver Dollar City.
Through the deal, O'Reilly Auto Parts branding will appear on three themed shuttles, called the Stagecoach, the Carriage and the Welcome Wagon, that take customers into Silver Dollar City, according to a news release. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The agreement creates what officials with the companies are calling "the nation’s first theme park transit department." The new themed shuttles are slated to roll out in phases, with the Stagecoach expected to first start making rounds this fall.
“This is more than a sponsorship; it’s a partnership between two brands rooted in the Ozarks,” says Brad Thomas, president of Silver Dollar City Parks and Resorts, in the release. “Just as O’Reilly Auto Parts has served generations of families with reliability and care, Silver Dollar City has welcomed millions with hospitality rooted in tradition. Together, we’re creating a one-of-a-kind way for guests to begin their adventure the moment they step onto our transit vehicles."
Silver Dollar City additionally will offer promotions to members of O’Reilly Auto Parts’ O’Rewards program.
“Silver Dollar City is a beloved part of the Ozarks, and like us, they believe in delivering excellent customer service,” said Hugo Sanchez, vice president of O’Reilly Auto Parts advertising and marketing, in the release. “We’re excited to help guests begin their day at the park with a ride that’s as special as the memories they’ll make inside."
