Springfield-based auto parts retailer O'Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY) disclosed yesterday two of its executive officers and one board director sold tens of thousands of company shares.
In a Nov. 10 filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, O’Reilly Automotive disclosed Ted Wise, executive vice president of expansion, sold 20,082 shares Nov. 6 valued at $3.6 million, or $179.55 apiece. On Nov. 7, the executive sold another 4,918 shares at $179 apiece, or $880,332.
O’Reilly President and CEO Greg Henslee unloaded 15,000 shares Nov. 6 at $179.04 apiece for a return of $2.7 million.
On Nov. 7, O’Reilly board director Rosalie O'Reilly Wooten sold 10,000 shares at $178.40 apiece for a return of $1.8 million. She also sold 1,046 shares at $175.86 apiece on Nov. 3, netting $183,950, according to a Nov. 10 SEC filing.
Among recent stock sales, O’Reilly board Chairman David O’Reilly unloaded 15,000 shares late last month, and director Ronald Rashkow sold 5,000, according to
Springfield Business Journal archives.
ORLY shares were trading at $179.95 as of 10:32 a.m., near the company’s 52-week high of $180.18.
