O’Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY) disclosed this week board Chairman David O’Reilly sold 85,300 shares with a cumulative value of $22.1 million.
Between Feb. 18 and Feb. 24, O’Reilly disposed of:
• 35,676 shares at $260.04 apiece;
• 24,324 shares at $260.02 apiece;
• 11,891 at $260.04 apiece;
• 8,109 at $260.02 apiece; and
• 5,300 at $253.41 apiece.
The two larger share sales were made indirectly by O’Reilly as a trustee for his children, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
Two O’Reilly Automotive executives and one board member also made share moves this week.
Greg Johnson, executive vice president of supply chain, sold 5,000 shares at $259.67 apiece, representing a total of $1.3 million. He also exercised an option to acquire 5,000 shares at $22.65 apiece for an investment of $113,250, according to filings with the SEC.
Larry Ellis, the company’s senior vice president of distribution, disposed of 1,000 shares at $259 apiece, netting $258,997. He also bought 1,000 shares for $88.33 apiece.
Board member Larry O'Reilly sold 5,000 shares at $264 apiece, or $1.3 million, according to an SEC filing.
Last week, three board members and one executive purchased 8,000 shares and disposed of 3,700.
ORLY shares were trading at $263.43 as of 11 a.m., compared to a 52-week range of $202.44 to $277.96.
While a disruption in international trade has the capacity to hurt local farmers and ranchers, beef producers are having a good go of things at the moment.
