Two O’Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY) executives made trades valued in the millions of dollars near the end of July.
Leading the trades was Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Expansion Scott Kraus, who most recently bought and sold shares on July 26, the same day the company’s stock hit a 52-week high of $310 on news of its second-quarter financial report.
That day, Kraus made trades resulting in a nearly $1.4 million sale. He utilized the SEC transaction code M, through which executives can execute their rights to buy shares at set rates and sell them at market prices, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
Kraus also made trades July 19, when he bought and sold 5,000 shares to make $1.3 million. SEC transaction code M was used in that transaction, as well.
In May and June, Kraus made roughly $2.4 million through separate trades, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting.
Also on July 19, O’Reilly Automotive Senior Vice President of Finance and Controller Jeremy Fletcher made $1.3 million in trading by utilizing the SEC transaction code M, according to a filing.
O’Reilly Automotive last week reported a second-quarter earnings increase of 25 percent to $353.1 million.
ORLY shares were trading at $303.81 as of 9:05 a.m., compared with a 52-week range of $186.82 to $310.
Company also adds logistics, financial services to offerings.
