Four O’Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY) executives last week bought and sold tens of thousands of the Springfield auto parts retailer’s shares, according to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filings.
In transactions made Aug. 4-5, O’Reilly Auto board Chairman David O’Reilly netted $9.5 million.
On Aug. 4, he sold 25,000 shares at $243.40 apiece, or $6.1 million, and acquired 25,000 shares at $32.78 apiece, or $819,500. The next day, he disposed of 20,000 shares at $244.17 apiece, or $4.9 million, and bought 20,000 shares at $32.78, or $655,600, according to a filing with the SEC.
Executive Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer Tom McFall earned $1.6 million via Aug. 4 stock moves.
That day, McFall sold 7,500 shares at $243.13 apiece, or $1.8 million, and acquired 7,500 shares at $28.69 apiece, or $215,175.
On Aug. 4, Greg Johnson, executive vice president of supply chain, made $853,906.
Johnson sold 4,000 shares at $242.73, or $970,926. He also purchased 2,000 shares at $35.86 apiece, or $71,720, and 2,000 shares at $22.65 apiece, or $45,300, according to an SEC filing.
Senior Vice President of Merchandise Mike Swearengin acquired 7,500 shares Aug. 4 at $242.33 apiece, or $1.8 million.
