O'Reilly Auto exec unloads additional shares

O’Reilly Automotive Inc.’s (Nasdaq: ORLY) executive vice president of expansion unloaded over 133,000 shares last week.

After selling 85,178 shares Feb. 23-24 for $17.7 million, Ted Wise traded in an additional 48,616 shares Feb. 25-26 valued at $10.2 million, according to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filings.

Board member Paul Lederer also sold 360 shares Feb. 26 for $75,038.

Lederer and Wise were among five executives and board members who combined sold over 235,000 shares last week.

At least nine officers have sold shares since the company’s stock crossed the $200 threshold in early February, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

O’Reilly Auto announced last month board approval for the repurchase of an additional $500 million shares this year as part of its buyback program. The company repurchased 5.7 million shares for an investment of $866 million last year.

ORLY shares were trading at $212.50 as of 9:54 a.m., compared to a 52-week range of $141.08 to $214.15.[[In-content Ad]]
