An O'Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY) executive recently sold thousands of company shares.
Darin Venosdel, the auto parts retailer's senior vice president of inventory management, made a trade valued at $3.4 million, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He utilized SEC transaction code M, through which executives can buy awarded shares at set rates and sell them later at market prices.
The Dec. 29 trade marked the last stock movement by an O'Reilly Automotive executive or board member in 2021, according to the company's SEC profile.
Venosdel's stock sale came the day O'Reilly Automotive's shares crossed the $700 mark for the first time since it became a publicly traded company.
ORLY shares were trading at $697.96 as of 11:10 a.m., compared with a 52-week range of $424.03 to $710.86.
