Advance Auto Parts, a competitor to Springfield's O'Reilly Auto Parts, plans to relocate its headquarters.
The Fortune 500 company intends to move to Raleigh, North Carolina, where it plans to create hundreds of jobs. The company intends to keep its existing Advance operations in Roanoke, Virginia.
Advance operated nearly 5,000 stores as of October in the United states, Canada, Puerto Rice and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
