Enterprise software corporation Oracle inked a deal to acquire Kansas City-based health care information technology company Cerner Corp.
The companies previously were in talks, according to media reports.
The all-cash deal equates to an equity value of $28.3 billion. The deal, the largest ever for Oracle, is expected to close sometime next year.
