Oracle CEO Ellison steps down

Larry Ellison announced Thursday he has agreed to step down as CEO of Oracle, the software powerhouse he co-founded.

Oracle co-Presidents Mark Hurd and Safra Catz will share the CEO role, according to USA Today.

Ellison, 70, who founded the database giant in 1977, will stay on as board chairman and chief technology officer.
