Oprah sells a quarter of her Weight Watchers shares

Oprah Winfrey sold nearly one-quarter of her stock holdings in Weight Watchers International, according to a securities filing.

She also donated a small portion of shares to her charitable foundation, according to Dow Jones Newswires.

Winfrey said she intended to balance her investment portfolio with the sale, and it had nothing to do with her views on the company, for which she's a board member.
