Opioid maker to pay $225M settlement

Opioid manufacturer Insys Therapeutics agreed to a $225 million settlement with the federal government.

As part of the settlement, the company admitted it bribed doctors to prescripe its opioid painkiller.

The company's fentanyl-based medication, Subsys, reportedly was often prescribed to patients who did not need it.
