Opening date set for the Guest House at Graceland

The $70 million Guest House at Graceland now has an opening date of October 2016, with a grand opening celebration scheduled Oct. 27–30.

The 450-room hotel, still under construction on Elvis Presley Boulevard, will begin booking rooms next month for 250 members of a newly launched and exclusive VIP program.

Opening celebrations for the Guest House are to be preceded by the closing of Graceland’s first hotel, Elvis Presley’s Heartbreak Hotel, on Oct. 26. After closing, select loyalty program members will be given the opportunity to take a piece of the Heartbreak Hotel home with them.

Although the opening weekend will fall more than two months after Elvis Week 2016, celebrations are expected to be a star-studded affair attended by other musicians, celebrities and members of the Presley family.
