Fidji Simo, OpenAI’s product and business chief, cited a “severe exacerbation of a chronic illness" for stepping down from her role.
Simo was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome in 2019.
Simo will serve as a part-time adviser at OpenAI upon exiting her executive role.
