Work Evaluations and Ergonomic Assessment Inc. opened June 21 at 4350 S. National in National Park Plaza. The six-year-old company, which previously operated in about 1,200 square feet at 3621 South Ave., now operates in about 3,500 square feet, said Laura Eagleburger, office manager (pictured). Services include rehabilitation for injured workers, job-site analysis, employee consultations and assistance with pain management, she said. The proprietor is Nancy Dickey, who also provides occupational therapy services. A physical therapist is the third person on staff. Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m.-noon Friday.
Advanced Petroleum Technologies LLC opened an 1,800-square-foot office June 1 at 20385 Lawrence 2070, Ash Grove. The business employs two, said Dane Roaseau, owner-manager. The independent business does cathodic protection testing and service of Missouri retail gas stations' lines and tanks in order detect leaks and, if found, make repairs. Roaseau is a National Association of Corrosion Engineers CP technician and a Steel Tank Institute CP tester. Office construction ran about $15,000 and includes some shop space, he said. The company's service area is about a 150-mile radius around Springfield, Roaseau said, adding that there are some 33,000 underground fuel tanks throughout the state. Hours of operation are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, as well as a 24-hour emergency service.
At Your Service-Limousines opened Feb. 1. Owned and operated by Gus Montalto and Hannah Anderson at PO Box 213, Reeds Spring, the transportation business operated previously in the Kansas City area for two years under the same name, Montalto said. Using Lincoln Towncar stretch limousines, the business has two six-passenger cars and one 10-passenger car. Montalto drives and Anderson assists in operations and the two are the only employees. The $85-an-hour rate, plus the 20 percent gratuity, comes out to about $102 an hour, he said, adding there is a two-hour minimum. Group rides to and from Branson-area shows are available for a flat fee of $200, Montalto said. "We do not charge a portal (fee)," he added, but instead clocks use time beginning at the point where clients are picked up. Hours are 7 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
