Vision Gallery 417
With over a decade of experience in eye care, Dr. Summer Williamson on Jan. 22 ventured on her own to launch Vision Gallery 417 LLC at 1961 S. Glenstone Ave. Vision Gallery fills roughly 2,800 square feet in space formerly occupied by lifestyle goods marketplace and design studio House Counsel, which exited the building last summer and moved to 1959 S. Glenstone Ave. Williamson said House Counsel owners Jeannie and Mark Breshears still own the 1961 S. Glenstone Ave. building, adding she signed a five-year lease for an undisclosed rate. She also declined to disclose startup costs. The clinic’s services include adult, senior and pediatric eye exams, emergency eye care and management of ocular diseases. It also sells glasses, sunglasses and contact lenses and offers free eye assessments for infants 6-12 months old. Williamson also is a part-time optometrist at Jordan Valley Community Health Center, where she’s worked for the past eight years.

Dean’s Boytique
Ownership of a children’s clothing retail business changed hands on Jan. 24, as Brittany Cathcart purchased Dean’s Boytique from founder Shelby Bolin for undisclosed terms. Blaire Chrouser of the Kingsley Group facilitated the transaction for the boutique, which is at 2776 S. Campbell Ave., Ste. B, in the Village Shopping Center. While she is receiving assistance from her husband, Darron, Cathcart said she currently plans to be the lone employee at the shop, which sells a variety of boys’ clothing, shoes and accessories for ages ranging newborn to 7 years old. It also has a women’s clothing section targeting mothers. Noting she and her husband have family in the Springfield area, Cathcart said the couple are commuting each week to the shop from their home in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Taking over Bolin’s two-year lease with Magers Management Co. LLC, Cathcart said Dean’s Boytique is a first-time business ownership venture for her, adding she’s been a stay-at-home mom for the past year following the birth of her son, Dawson.

Leveled Up Loot
Gaming, toy and pop culture retail business Leveled Up Loot LLC transitioned to an online auction company after closing its storefront on Feb. 9. Leveled Up Loot announced the decision in a Feb. 10 post on its Facebook page, noting it will stay in its current location for use as a warehouse and fulfillment center at 2744 S. Campbell Ave. in the Village Shopping Center. Officials additionally said the venture continues to run under the same name and ownership remains the same. Owner Christopher Smith, along with his wife, Amanda, opened the 1,600-square-foot shop in August 2022. The business, which sells collectibles, comics, games, jewelry, movies, music and toys, plans to list at least two auctions per month, according to its Facebook page. Smith in 2022 signed a three-year lease for $1,633 per month with Magers Management Co. The Smiths first began selling merchandise at flea markets and trade shows 17 years ago and expanded to e-commerce on eBay and other sites.
