Walnut St. Owners Nicole Puyear and Ericka Frank operate the flagship store in St. Louis and stores in Knoxville, Tenn., and Edwardsville, Ill. Sandy and Rodney Nance, friends of the owners, moved from Texas to manage The Cup in Springfield. “They were looking for something in a day’s drive of St. Louis,” Nance said of Puyear and Frank. The Cup offers 35 flavors of cupcakes, with some rotating and others constant, and serves Kaldi’s coffee drinks. On the second Monday of each month, 10 percent of the shop’s sales are donated to a featured charity, according to www.cravethecup.com. Lumix Electrical Inc.
Lumix Electrical Inc. moved Oct. 22 to 113 Endeavor Drive in Rogersville, from 1008 Bittersweet Court in Nixa. Owner Steve Magruder said the relocation follows his family’s move to Fordland. At 3,800 square feet, the new location is smaller than the 7,200-square-foot Nixa location, which is for sale for $365,000. Lumix is an electrical contractor providing electrical installation and service as well as supplies and wiring. Present and past clients include St. John’s Hospital, Willow Brook Foods and Aaron’s Automotive. Magruder said the economy has slowed his company’s work. The Rogersville building is leased from Gene Bass for undisclosed terms through the end of the year. Magruder said buying property is possible after he sells his Nixa property. Hours: 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Phone: (417) 724-8474.
