Danielle Wise said the nonprofit’s Rivendale Institute of Learning & Center for Autism operates on the first floor, and the remainder of the three-story building houses The Arc’s services for employment, residential programming, community connections, behavior analysis and the autism department. It also serves as a training site for 1,400 staff members in Springfield, Monett, Joplin and Kansas City. American Cancer Society Inc. moved its Springfield office Jan. 14 to 2926 E. Battlefield Road. Senior Market Manager
Kim Edwards said the move from 8,000 square feet at 3322 S. Campbell Ave., Ste. G, provides better access and visibility, and the smaller space conserves resources for a greater percentage of funds toward programs and services. She said the 5,500-square-foot space is leased from Battlefield Office Building LLC for undisclosed terms. American Cancer Society provides guidance, support and resources for those diagnosed with cancer, including assistance with transportation and lodging, free wigs, referrals to health care and community resources and support groups. The Deck Co. LLC moved its office and opened the company’s first retail space March 24 at 3211 S. Campbell Ave. Owner
Michael Ormsby moved to 1,400 square feet leased for undisclosed terms from Camerie Property Inc. from a 500-square-foot office shared with I Get It Marketing at 1700 S. Campbell. Ormsby, who in September expanded to Bentonville, Ark., with The Deck Co. of Northwest Arkansas LLC, said the Springfield store is a test market for possibly adding retail sites in Bentonville, as well as entering the Kansas City and St. Louis markets. The Deck Co. employs 28 locally, specializing in custom design, sales and installation of treated lumber decks and composite decking.
