St. John’s celebrated the reopening of the St. John’s Medical Spa and Clinic on Jan. 1 under the direction of board-certified plastic surgeon Bharat Shah. The spa, which was previously under the directorship of St. John’s Clinic-Plastic Surgery, offers licensed massage therapy, facials, waxing, chemical peels and laser hair removal. Shah, who serves as the sole director of the 1,400-square-foot clinic and has been in practice since 1996, will treat his cosmetic surgery patients within the spa. Missouri Native Nursery
Paul Armstrong and Paul Robertson opened the Missouri Native Nursery, an extension of Smiling Sun LLC, on April 18 at 1161 W. Division St. Smiling Sun, a lawn and landscaping business that focuses on using native and indigenous plants, provides rain gardens, water-control services, organic lawn fertilizer and natural pest control. The Missouri Native Nursery carries plants, hedges, shrubs and trees grown by Missouri farmers, Armstrong said, adding that the startup cost for the nursery was $10,000. Hamburg & Lyons LLC
Attorneys Brian Hamburg and Aaron Lyons relocated their law office April 25 to 3337 E. Ridgeview St. from 2135 E. Sunshine St. Hamburg & Lyons LLC, which has operated for more than a decade, serves as a general practice with an emphasis on estate planning, probate, real estate, corporate business law and general litigation. Lyons said the partners lease the nearly 2,000-square-foot space for an undisclosed amount. Hamburg is past-president of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association.
