Skilled Touch
Inside Professional Massage Training Center Inc. owner Juliet Mee on Feb. 5 opened subsidiary Skilled Touch. The massage therapy clinic, 229 E. Commercial St., specializes in Swedish massage and neuromuscular therapy. Mee said the clinic’s pricing is based on a professional services model, and therapists do not accept tips or accept discounts. “If we don’t deliver what the expectation is, then we don’t expect people to pay for it,” she said. Rates range from $40 for a half hour to $125 for two-hour sessions. Mee, who has worked 33 years in massage therapy as a practitioner and educator, said the clinic employs six licensed therapists. Declining to disclose startup costs, Mee said the professional clinic leases equipment and 3,500 square feet from the Professional Massage Training Center, which leases the 10,000-square-foot building from Mee’s Historic Developments LLC. Hours: 10 a.m.–10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and by appointment. Phone: (417) 863-7682. Web:
