Shepherd of the Hills Veterinary Clinic
Shepherd of the Hills Veterinary Clinic LLC moved to a new home in Branson on April 17 at 895 State Highway 248, near Mercy’s eye care facility. Dr. Amanda McGinty, along with her husband, Darin, opened the clinic with two additional employees at 2837 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, Ste. A, in 2018. Darin McGinty said the veterinary practice, which now employs 14, needed more space and occupies 3,500 square feet in the building it owns, declining to disclose relocation and renovation costs. He said Cornerstone Building Services was general contractor for the building renovation, which includes four exam rooms, expanded surgery suites and treatment areas with new dental and surgery equipment, a fenced-in dog run for clients’ pets, and a parking lot with capacity for 40 vehicles. Aside from wellness exams, Shepherd of the Hills’ services include vaccinations, dental care, surgery and diagnostic testing and imaging, according to its website.

Fried Design Co.
Brand design and illustration studio Fried Design Co. exited downtown Springfield on June 5 and moved to 3938 S. Lone Pine Ave., Ste. 102, in Galloway Village. Formerly located on the second floor at 137 Park Central Square, Fried Design Co. leases its 3,500-square-foot space from Entrust Property Solutions LLC for an undisclosed rate, said owner Josh Sullivan. The Lone Pine Avenue space previously was occupied by retailer Culture Flock, which moved to the Rountree neighborhood. Fried Design Co. provides services for web design, branding, packaging, art direction, copywriting, design and illustration. In February, the company also launched Punchbowl Studios, a content production studio. The six-employee company is not limited to working in the Springfield area, Sullivan said, adding it has collaborated with clients around the country, Adidas, BMW and Tanqueray among them. He said Fried Design Co. recently celebrated a birthday as June 5 marked both the first day at its new location and five years of business.

Whataburger
Three weeks after debuting its first restaurant in Springfield, Whataburger opened its second Queen City store on May 29 at 2355 N. Glenstone Ave. It’s the fourth southwest Missouri eatery for the San Antonio, Texas-based fast-food restaurant chain. Whataburger spokesperson Ana Flores said the newest location, near the Glenstone Avenue and Kearney Street intersection, employs 100 and is led by Operating Partner Sean Tamez, a five-year company employee. The 3,700-square-foot eatery, which is open all day, every day, offers dine-in, curbside and drive-thru services, she added. Company officials say a third Springfield Whataburger at 401 N. Eastgate Ave. will open at an undisclosed date. The restaurant chain’s menu includes hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, malts, shakes and breakfast items. According to its website, Whataburger has roughly 960 restaurants in 14 states, including 10 in Missouri.
