John Saviello on July 11 opened Saviello’s Cafe at 1701 S. Fort Ave. in The Mansion at Elfindale. Lori Saviello runs the cafe with the help of 10 part-time employees and her husband, who serves as maitre d’ in his free time. Lori Saviello, who began learning culinary arts at the age of 5 from her mother and grandmother, is a certified culinary chef and member of the American Chef Federation and holds an associate degree in culinary hospitality management with a baking certificate from Ozarks Technical Community College. She has owned and operated Saviello’s Sweet and Savory Catering since 2010 and personally financed her $5,000 startup cost for the cafe. Todd Arth said the 450-square-foot store is the smallest and most recent addition to the 17-branch chain. Of Andy’s nearly 80 employees systemwide, roughly three to five staff members each shift operate the new branch, said president Andy Kuntz. Cloyd has 10 years of experience in online resale, mainly via eBay Inc., and owned a small CD and DVD duplication business, called Sssence Entertainment, from 2001–05.As the sole employee for Sssence Solutions, Cloyd photographs and cleans clients’ items to be sold, researches pricing and lists them for sale mostly through Amazon, Etsy and eBay. He charges a commission based on the number of items being sold with consideration of item value.
