Sanders Warren & Russell LLPThree former Husch Blackwell LLP attorneys started the Springfield branch of Overland Park, Kan.-based Sanders Warren & Russell LLP on April 16. Husch Blackwell partners
Randy Scheer and
Jacob Sappington, and associate
Kenneth Sprenger, resigned from the firm early last month. “It was an amicable split,” said Scheer, who’s managing partner of Sanders Warren & Russell’s Corporate Centre office, 1949 E. Sunshine St., Ste. 2-102. Sappington serves as counsel for the Springfield office, while Sprenger is a litigation associate. With six employees, Scheer said the firm focuses on products and toxic tort liability, trucking and transportation liability, medical and professional liability, insurance coverage and defense, construction defects and business litigation. For Scheer, the decision marks a move to familiar territory. “I moved down here to help open the Blackwell Sanders office, which is now Husch Blackwell, in Hammons Tower,” Scheer said. “I had an opportunity to rejoin some of my old partners, who were formerly with the Blackwell Sanders firm. It seemed like a great opportunity and a good fit.” Hours: 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Phone: (417) 281-5100. Web:
