Elle’s Patisserie
Elle and Jon Feldman opened Elle’s Patisserie on Feb. 14 at 1454 E. Cherry St. The 400-square-foot French-style bakery serves truffles, pastries and French press coffee, Elle Feldman said, adding that all products are made fresh without preservatives. She said the space was previously home to a shoe repair shop and had been vacant for 15 years. Feldman said the bakery’s décor was inspired by a trip she took to France, noting that in the fall she and her husband plan to renovate the building’s exterior and add a courtyard with a fountain. Elle’s Patisserie truffles are $9 for a box of four, $13 for a half-dozen and $26 for a dozen. Pastries include croissants, pecan sticky buns, pan aux raisins and cherry turnovers. Feldman also works as an aesthetician and owns Lavare Day Spa, located within Zen 3 Bodywork Studio around the corner. Hours: 7 a.m.–2 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m.–2 p.m. Saturday. Phone: (417) 576-6049.
