Battlefield Road, which is owned by the Wehrs, and a third of the studio is equipped with infrared heaters designed to increase students’ circulation and flexibility, co-owner Emily Wehr said. Instruction is led by Yoga Alliance-certified trainers Emery Bryant and Kellie Cunningham, as well as Joy Pitts and Brooke Martz, who also plan to offer yoga classes for children. A single 60- to 75-minute yoga class is $12, with multiclass and unlimited rates starting at $55, said Wehr, who declined to disclose startup costs. Craver, of Pleasant Hope, previously worked as a partner in C&C Insurance for 12 years but has chosen to become the sole man behind the barbecue stand currently located in downtown Springfield near East Walnut Street and South Kimbrough Avenue. Craver said prices range from $6.50 to $7.50 for lunch meals, and he offers catering for family or business functions. Craver personally financed the startup, but he declined to disclose costs. Mr. Bigg’s Pizza & Italian FoodJason Bebout expanded into Springfield’s Midtown neighborhood on Aug. 12 with the addition of Mr. Bigg’s Pizza & Italian Food at 834 E. Division St. The original Mr. Bigg’s opened in June 2010 in Republic, and Bebout said expansion was in his original business plan. The 1,800-square-foot Springfield restaurant seats 30 and is under a one-year lease from Yello Planet LLC and David Paladino with an option to purchase for an undisclosed amount. Terry Sanders manages Mr. Bigg’s and has seven years of experience, including working with Bebout to open the Republic site. Bebout obtained an undisclosed amount of financial assistance through Liberty Bank and U.S. Bank for costs associated with the building’s lease and restaurant equipment. Mr. Bigg’s offers St. Louis-style thin crust made with provel cheese and hand-tossed New York-style pizza, as well as subs, pastas and salads with prices ranging from $6.35 for a club sandwich to $22 for a super deluxe pizza.
