Pigging Solutions LLCOperating out of a home office in Willard since 2009, Pigging Solutions LLC opened a Springfield office and warehouse July 5 at 1915 W. Woodland Ave., Ste. 132. Owner and General Manager
Steve Langley said the company also is consolidating a Chicago sales office, and the transition into the 2,500-square-foot site should be complete by mid-August. Pigging Solutions works with clients, such as Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore & Co., Colgate-Palmolive and Procter & Gamble, at plants across the country to clean product transfer lines, Langley said. The company sells product recovery systems that clean process lines with a urethane plug, called a pig, with wiping discs. “As it goes through the pipeline, those wiping discs push the product and clean the pipe walls,” Langley said, noting the product moves to a filling station for reuse. He said the application works in such sectors as paint and coatings, food and beverage, household and janitorial, personal care, lubricants and greases, and herbicides and pesticides. He said the systems cost between $20,000 and $60,000 per transfer line. Pigging Solutions employs three, including Langley’s sister, Julie, as chief financial officer.
