Peoples Bank of the Ozarks opened a second branch in Nixa on Jan. 27 at 1564 N. Main St. Kelly King (pictured) is branch operations manager at the 2,700-square-foot facility, which cost $400,000 to build. King said it is a full-service branch with three drive-up windows and a drive-up ATM. Peoples Bank is planning to move its other Nixa location, which serves as the bank's headquarters, later this year. The Main Street branch lobby is open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday.
Human Resource Staffing LLC moved its office Dec. 2 to 1923 S. Glenstone Ave. in the Plaza Towers Center. The staffing company. Michael Patrick, branch manager, said the new, 1,600-square-foot location provides better exposure and is designed to facilitate growth. The firm focuses on staffing for the industrial, clerical and nursing segments, Patrick said. The office is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Mardel Christian & Educational Supply opened for business Feb. 24 at 1533 E. Battlefield Road in the former Service Merchandise space. Mardel, which occupies 30,000 square feet, sells Christian books and music, teaching and office supplies, clothing and home dcor, said store manager Timothy Burks. It is open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, except for Wednesday when the store closes at 6 p.m.
The Yen family, owner of Mr. Yen's and Grand Fortuna, has repurchased Diamond Head Restaurant, which the family opened in 1976, and reopened it under the name Aloha. The new restaurant, which opened April 4 at 2734 S. Campbell, serves Polynesian, Hawaiian and Asian dishes. Hours of operation are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
