Paragon Architecture relocated May 9 to 430 S. Glenstone Ave. from 1730 E. Republic Road, Ste. K. The firm designs structures in the public and commercial sectors focusing on sustainable design principles, owner Brad Erwin said. Paragon Architecture employs four, with Erwin and Bill Watkins as principals at the 1,300-square-foot office, which Paragon Architecture designed in 2010. The company, which formed in early 2010 preceding an acquisition of Erwin's employer, Creative Ink Architects, leases the space from Paladin LC for an undisclosed amount. Recent projects include Webster Electric Cooperative’s Marshfield headquarters, the Springfield Regional Police and Fire Training Center, and the Missouri State Crime Lab in Jasper County, according to www.paragon-architecture.com. Simply Yo Self-Serve Yogurt Lounge
Butch and Karen Brooks opened Simply Yo Self-Serve Yogurt Lounge on June 8 at 3600 S. Campbell Ave. Butch Brooks said the 11-employee yogurt shop serves certified real dairy yogurt, offering sugar-free and nondairy options in all of its flavors. Its 16 yogurt flavors sell for 36 cents an ounce and most are gluten-free, he said. Brooks and his wife developed Simply Yo from the ground up and received a construction loan from Old Missouri Bank for an undisclosed amount. A second Simply Yo store in Mountain Home, Ark., is owned by Butch Brooks’ brother-in-law. The Brookses lease the 3,300-square-foot-space at Kickapoo Corners Shopping Center for an undisclosed amount. Rogersville Library
The Rogersville branch of the Webster County Library relocated June 29 to 1004 N. Beatie St. in Rogersville. Branch manager Carolyn Sick said the 2,300-square-foot library is twice the size of the previous location and offers a children’s area and community room. The library has three employees, Sick said.
