Indianapolis-based Pac-Van Inc. opened a Springfield branch Jan. 1 at 1313 N. Nias Ave., Ste. C. Sales representative Mike Coan said the company has a three-year lease on the 800-square-foot office with Springfield Contractors Association for an undisclosed amount. Part of California-based General Finance Corp. (Nasdaq: GFN), the opening follows Pac-Van’s Aug. 26 acquisition of Mobile Storage Solutions of Missouri LLC from Charlie and Brenda Teeslink for an undisclosed price. Pac-Van sells and leases shipping storage containers and modular office buildings and leases storage trailers and liquid storage tanks. Coan said containers lease for $60-$115 per month and sell for $2,000-$5,000; offices lease for $200-$450 per month and sell for $10,000-$20,000; and trailers lease for $80-$90 per month. Pac-Van also leases a 5-acre storage yard at 4867 N. Farm Road 189 from Springfield Pallet Co. for undisclosed terms. Pac-Van operates roughly 60 branches in 27 states. With operations in Jefferson City, Kansas City and St. Louis, the Springfield territory covers southwest Missouri and parts of Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. CK Power
Creve Coeur-based CK Power opened a Springfield service, sales and production facility Jan. 1 at 2630 N. Westgate Ave. Operations Manager Clayton Costello said the 7,500-square-foot office is the company’s fourth, including the St. Louis headquarters, Wichita, Kan., and Kansas City. CK Power manufactures power units for residences, recreational vehicles and commercial and industrial facilities. An exclusive distributor for John Deere, Volva Penta and Kubota engines and Kohler power systems, the North Westgate Avenue office employs a salesman, service manager and parts administrator, Costello said. CK Power plans to hire up to 10 full-time service technicians and administrators this year. The space is leased from Forerunner LLC and Javalina LLC for undisclosed terms. Quality Clean LLC
Quality Clean LLC co-owners Burnis and Cindy Gibson relocated Quality Clean Janitorial Services on Dec. 1 to 2305 E. Olive Court. Burnis Gibson said the company upgraded from its six-year home of about 1,000 square feet at 3000 E. Chestnut Expwy. Now five times larger, Gibson said the company has a three-year lease with the Jack Fredrick Trust for undisclosed terms. No costs were associated with the move, he said. Performing cleaning services for commercial buildings in the Springfield area, Quality Clean quotes prices on an individual basis.
