Motion Playlist Studio
After learning break dancing and teaching dance for about three years, P.T. Tran opened Motion Playlist Studio on Sept. 3 at 313 E. Battlefield Road, Ste. C. Tran leases the 2,800-square-foot space for $2,000 a month from Jared Enterprises. Tran’s hip-hop dance studio has five instructors teaching hip-hop, contemporary/modern, break dancing, ballet/pointe, yoga and zumba. Classes cover four lessons per month and cost $50 for one class, with a discounted rate of $180 per month for all six of the roughly one-hour classes, held mostly on weeknights. A $15 registration is required. Phone: (417) 766-0520. Web:

The Kid’s Court
Co-owners Rhonda Reese and Donna Lutjen marked the 19th year in business for The Kid’s Court with a Sept. 12 move to 1111 E. Republic Road, Ste. 120, at the Gallery Eleven center. Previously operating at 1724 E. Battlefield St., Reese said Kid’s Court sells upscale children’s clothing in sizes newborn to 14 boys and 16 girls. With three employees, the store occupies 1,600 square feet, leased from John Haik, owner of Ozark Adventures. Reese said relocation costs were about $10,000. Hours: 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Phone: (417) 889-4427.

Sharp Shooter Consulting LLC
On July 1, Justin Sharp opened Sharp Shooter Consulting, offering consultations on Missouri’s concealed carry law, firearm selection, home defense and gun handling. Sharp, who has been carrying for about eight years and holds memberships in the National Rifle and U.S. Concealed Carry associations, operates out of his home. At $30 per hour, Sharp said he advises clients how to carry, including holster types and placement, based on their individual situations, body types and clothing styles, as well as where to make purchases. Sharp Shooter Consulting operates by appointment only and does not sell weaponry or gear. Phone: (417) 425-4919.
