Camdenton-based Missouri Furniture opened its first store in the Springfield area July 31 at 1861 James River Road in Ozark's 65 Marketplace. The 60,000-square-foot store features 54,000 square feet of showroom space with furniture for the whole house, said store manager Robyn Ziegler (pictured). It is open 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday. There are five other stores in the Missouri Furniture chain, which is owned by Neil and Dave Fiaferlick. Other locations are in Camdenton, Rolla, Jefferson City, Columbia and Sedalia. "This one is actually the biggest (store)," Ziegler said.
Pro Image Graphics & Signs, owned by Brian and Regina Rothermel, opened for business July 1 at 1284 N. Ashley Road, Nixa. Brian Rothermel said the company designs and offers promotional materials such as signs, vehicle graphics, stickers, decals, T-shirts, caps, banners, magnets and business cards. Hours of operation are 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A home dcor business, Affordable Splendor, opened Nov. 2 at 1130 W. Grand St. It is the first tenant in the recently constructed Oakmont Plaza on the southwest corner of Grand and Fort. Part owner Glena Smith said the items carry an "Old World and French Country style." Debbie Wilson also shares ownership. Smith said that a garden area on the west side of the store displays the outdoor statuaries for sale. Affordable Splendor is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.
