Longhorn Grill opened Dec. 30 at 1645 W. Republic Road, Ste. E, in Remington's Corner. Owner/operator Omar Barron (pictured) started the restaurant that features hamburgers, rib eye and chicken-fried steak sandwiches. The 2,000-square-foot restaurant seats 74. It is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. |ret||ret||tab|

Brookline Woodworks changed ownership Oct. 1. Mark and Gayla Foley purchased the 35-year-old woodworking company, located at 6553 W. FR 140, from Elaine Garton. Garton owned it for the last 22 years. The company is a distributor of exterior and interior doors, wood trim and windows, and also sells and services garage doors, Gayla Foley said. There are five employees and the business is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.|ret||ret||tab|

La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries moved Dec. 14 to 1737 E. Independence St. after 26 years in the Brentwood Center. The recently constructed, nearly $1 million store meets new La-Z-Boy corporate standards that targets a younger age group and features expanded lines, including accessories, said franchise owner Wayne Wickstrom. The 15,000-square-foot showroom displays living room and family room items such as sofas, loveseats, entertainment centers, armoires, end tables and coffee tables, as well as lamps and wall hangings. It is the 14th store of its kind, Wickstrom said, adding that La-Z-Boy plans to convert all 305 of its North American stores in five years. The store is open 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, and noon-5 p.m. Sunday.|ret||ret||tab|

Computech Mailing Service moved into its new office Dec. 5 at 1072 W. Liberty Ave. in Ozark's North Ozark Industrial Park. The move consolidates Computech's Springfield and Hollister operations, owner Paul Freeman said. The firm offers mailing, data entry and database management services. The $425,000 facility has a 7,000-square-foot letter shop, 2,300 square feet of office space and 1,200 square feet used as data entry, Freeman said.|ret||ret||tab|
