Open for Business: Kwik Kar Lube and Tune

Kwik Kar Lube and Tune opened Aug. 24 at 4112 S. Kansas Expwy. It is a full-service auto care center focusing on the 10-minute, 16-point oil change. Other services include tune-ups, brakes, transmission, air-conditioning and coolant repairs. It is family owned by Rob, Bill and Linda Hobbs. Rob Hobbs (pictured) said plans are for additional locations in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas. Kwik Kar Lube and Tune is open 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.

From July through September six new stores have opened at Factory Merchants Branson on West Highway 76. The new stores are Eddie Bauer Warehouse, Softspot Shoes, Capacity, Ozark Mountain Quilts, Farberware and Burke's Outlet. Orlando-based New Plan Excel Realty Trust Inc. owns the outlet center. The publicly owned firm (NYSE: NXL) has six other centers across the country including Factory Outlet Village in Osage Beach.

Dr. Esther Wadley, DO, started Community Care Clinic in Republic Oct. 14. The health care facility at 281 U.S. Highway 60 West, focuses on family medicine, acute care, chronic care, rheumatology and pain management, Wadley said. She is working for a state rural health care classification to assist Medicare and Medicaid patients. "We will be able to see these patients that are underinsured," Wadley said. There are nine exam rooms at the Community Care Clinic, which is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
