Kids & Co., a children's resale shop, opened Aug. 20 in Ozark at 517 E. South St. in the Southtown Center. The 2,000-square-foot store buys, sells and trades children's clothing, from newborn to early teens, baby furniture and toys, according to owner Kristen Jackson. Jackson said her two daughters, ages 6 and 8, were behind the business concept. "I'm always looking for good deals on clothing for them," Jackson said. "I thought other mothers would like that, too." Kids & Co. is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Vir2al Creations LLC, a 2-year-old Osage Beach business, opened a Springfield office Aug. 1 at 305 E. Walnut St., Ste. 203 in the Vandivort Center. Vir2al Creations, founded by Leea and Giancarlo Betta, produces virtual business cards and video virtual tours of homes and businesses. "We do a lot of (business in) real estate in the Lake of the Ozarks," Leea Betta said. The Bettas work by appointment in Springfield as they make weekly visits and are training a sales representative.

Home Trends, a division of Bill's Satellite TV, moved Nov. 10 to 2349 E. Kearney St. Since 1985 owner Bill Hall has operated from two locations on Glenstone Avenue, most recently at 1027 S. Glenstone Ave. The Kearney location provides a loading dock for pick-up and delivery, and a 2,500-square-foot showroom, where the company sells televisions, electronics and security systems. Home trends also pre-wires new homes for high-speed Internet, security, satellite and home-theater systems, Hall said. The business is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
