Headache Care Center, Primary Care Network and Clinvest opened a 22,500-square-foot location at 3805 S. Kansas Expressway on June 21 with about 50 employees. Sponsoring continuing medical education for physicians and health care professionals is Primary Care Network's mission, while Clinvest is a research facility conducting onsite therapies and treatment options. Both entities were developed in response to the headache treatment work offered by the Headache Care Center, said Nathan Wozmiak, marketing and communications manager. Construction costs ran $3.5 million including infill, said Kenny Cox, executive vice president and co-owner with Brad Hedrick and Drs. Curtis Schreiber and Roger Cady (pictured), who is the primary shareholder. The general contractor was Morelock-Ross Builders and the architect was Marshall-Waters-Woody Associates. The three entities were previously located at 1230 E. Kingsley and 1310 E. Kingsley. Cox would not disclose a revenue forecast for 2004. Hours of operation are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts opened a 3,100-square-foot corporate store June 15 at 720 N. Glenstone on one acre. It will employ about 50, said Connie Ghan, office manager. This is the fifth Missouri store the Winston-Salem, N.C.-based business has launched, with plans to open a sixth in Branson on July 13. Construction costs ran about $1.5 million; general contractor for the project was Stovall Construction Inc. Offerings include 15 varieties of doughnuts, as well as four drip coffees, espresso-based drinks and flavored milks. The company operates 370 stores throughout the United States and worldwide. Lobby hours are 5:30 a.m.-11:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5:30 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Drive-through service is available 24 hours a day.
Greenbean's Market opened June 26 in 875 square feet at 3830 S. Lone Pine, Ste. C, in Galloway Village, said owner/operator Jenny Green, who leases from Sam Watts. Specializing in fresh, locally grown produce and other goods, the store offers a variety of items from around the area including teas and lotions from Garden Momma in Mt. Vernon; pickles from Dragon Breath Foods in Sparta; mushrooms and raspberry sauces from Persimmon Hill Farm in Lampe; and preserves, salsa, jams and jellies from The Berry Patch in Bolivar. Also available are energy drinks and bottled waters. Shop hours are 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday.
