Paint Nite LLC
Megan Rhoden began operating as a licensee of Paint Nite LLC on Nov. 10. Also a for-hire face painter, she leads prescheduled two-hour social painting classes at local bars or restaurants, and participants choose a predetermined scene to paint. Paint Nite spokeswoman Courtney Osgood said the Somerville, Mass.-based company works with 200 licensees in 1,400 cities across five countries. Rhoden said she did not pay a licensing fee for her territory, which extends 30 miles around Springfield, but Paint Nite collects 30 percent of ticket sales. Her classes are held weekly in Springfield at Bair’s All-American Sports Grill on Campbell Avenue and Patton Alley Pub, and monthly at Tropical Liqueurs and 7 C’s Winery in Walnut Grove. Painters buy the $25-$45 tickets online by selecting the date, location and artwork they’d like to create and take home. Rhoden hopes to add two part-time artists to help run concurrent events this year. Phone: (417) 893-8100. Web:
