QuincysCreations.comLove Local Buy LocalAfter spending most of her career in pharmaceutical sales,
Anessa Musgrave on Jan. 15 created Love Local Buy Local, a loyalty program for businesses and consumers. Currently operating out of her home, Musgrave says 11 area businesses already have signed on and buyers of the $10 membership cards receive discounts at participating businesses. The discounts vary by establishment; for instance, Star Cakes offers cardholders a free cupcake for every three purchased or 10 percent off a baker’s dozen. Other businesses that have bought in at the $500 annual membership include W3 Salon, Down To Earth Foods and The Creative Foundry. Musgrave, the only employee, says she is working with Hook Creative, developers of her website, on a smartphone application connecting cardholders with participating businesses. The website and app development has been the main sum of her $12,000 startup costs. Membership cards are sold on her website and at member businesses. Hours: N/A. Phone: (417) 425-8197. Web:
