Golden Hour Jewelers
Accruing a combined roughly 30 years in jewelry and luxury retail experience, Kevin and Natalie Ballard launched Golden Hour Jewelers LLC on June 10 at 3002 E. Sunshine St. Natalie Ballard said the shop in Southern Hills Shopping Center marks the first business ownership venture for herself and her husband. The couple are the lone employees at the 1,100-square-foot shop, she said, declining to disclose startup costs and lease terms. Golden Hour Jewelers sells jewelry, such as earrings, necklaces and rings for both men and women, luxury Parisian handbags and William Henry knives. It also provides custom designs, appraisals and maintenance. Ballard said Kevin is a second-generation jeweler whose father, Denny, was an executive with Justice Jewelers. Her husband began his career as a gemologist appraiser at Justice Jewelers and went on to work for various jewelry companies across the U.S. Ballard said she also is a gemologist, and her previous jewelry retail experience includes employment for a private Swiss jeweler in Brussels, Belgium.
