Finding You Treasures
Finding You Treasures LLC owners and best friends Jessica Murray and Juanita Hyde moved their 1-year-old flea market business Jan. 3 to 1027 S. Glenstone Ave. The venture started in January 2021 at 1007 W. Atlantic Ave., in northwest Springfield’s Woodland Heights neighborhood, but Murray said they sought more foot and vehicle traffic. Costs to relocate and renovate the space near the Grand Street intersection were $7,000, she said, declining to disclose lease terms. Roughly 45 vendors sell out of the 4,400-square-foot shop, with new and used products including antiques, books, clothing, crafts, home decor and small furniture. Vendors pay an undisclosed monthly rental rate and 10% commission on sales, Murray said, noting she and Hyde are the store’s lone employees. The friends were stay-at-home mothers amid the COVID-19 pandemic before launching Finding You Treasures, Murray said.

Domino’s
Springfield’s newest Domino’s started slinging pies May 17 at 4021 S. Campbell Ave. to replace a nearby store at 230 E. Republic Road. Franchisees Art Hurteau and Marty Prather of A&M Pizza Inc. operate a portfolio of 34 Domino’s restaurants in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas. Hurteau said A&M Pizza invested roughly $2 million, including land, for the 2,882-square-foot eatery that sits at the site of a former Simmons Bank branch. The bank location, which shuttered in 2020, was demolished last year. He said Ross Construction Group LLC was general contractor for the project designed by Burns Architecture. General Manager Hannah Frey leads a staff of 50 at the store, which Hurteau said has a pickup window, more parking space and higher visibility. Menu items include made-to-order and specialty pizzas, hot wings, pastas, oven-baked sandwiches and salads, with prices generally ranging $7-$18.

7 Brew Coffee
The third Springfield shop in five months for Fayetteville, Arkansas-based 7 Brew Coffee opened May 25 at 2970 E. Sunshine St. Brothers Chris and Brandon Sebald and friend Larry Wilson are 7 Brew franchisees via Brew Crew LLC. The 510-square-foot coffee stand in the Southern Hills Shopping Center launched less than two months after its second shop started at 1455 W. Battlefield Road. The company’s Queen City debut was in December 2021 at 2317 N. Glenstone Ave. Chris Sebald said Mike Mendoza is stand manager at the 50-employee shop, declining to disclose startup costs. The shop has dual drive-thru lanes with a menu including iced and hot coffee, shakes, smoothies, energy drinks, teas and Italian sodas. Prices range $2-$7. Sebald said Lebanon is set to get its first 7 Brew in July, adding several other undisclosed southwest Missouri sites are under consideration.
