Dugout Bar & Grill
Matt Netzer and Chris Lisle opened Dugout Bar & Grill on June 4 at 1218 E. Trafficway St. The Dugout menu offers American fare such as burgers, barbecue and prime rib, as well as vegetarian sandwiches – priced at less than $10. Entrees range between $14 and $17. Organized under Dugout Ventures LLC, Netzer said the $40,000 startup was self- and privately financed. Lisle, who worked at Club 609 in Joplin the last four years, runs the Dugout’s kitchen, and Netzer also operates The Outland downtown music venue, which he’s owned since 2002. The partners have hired eight part-time employees for the 94-seat sports- and music-themed Dugout, which operates in the former Twilite Inn space. Hours: 11 a.m.–midnight Monday through Wednesday and Sunday, and 11–1:30 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. Phone: (417) 866-2255. Web: DugoutSGF.com

Lost & Found Grief Center
Lost & Found Grief Center relocated its administrative offices June 11 to 2840 E. Chestnut Expressway, Ste. C, in the Bell Building Systems building. The nonprofit’s five full-time professional staff members moved from the 130-year-old Connor House, 1006 N. Cedarbrook Ave., where Lost & Found’s grief counseling sessions still take place, said Executive Director Karen Scott. Working with upwards of 80 regular volunteers, Lost & Found offers support services to more than 250 children and families grieving the deaths of loved ones. Scott said the organization’s services now reach 16 counties. She said Lost & Found, which operates on a $350,000 fiscal 2013 budget, leases the 1,100-square-foot office from Ron Bell. Brown Recluse Xperts Inc.
Brown Recluse Xperts Inc. owners Joe and Courtney Sweeney-Legore on March 15 relocated the mobile pest control company’s headquarters to Branson from southeast Kansas. Founded by his father in 1978 in Baxter Springs, Kan., Joe Sweeney-Legore said he has been around pest control since his youth. In the move, Sweeney-Legore invested $100,000 to purchase three vehicles and upgrade technology. The fleet is now equipped with tablets and Verizon Jetpack devices, which create wireless hotspots that allow the main office to communicate appointments in real time. Sweeney-Legore said indoor and outdoor insect removal is $79, the termite treatment price varies by house size, and brown recluse removal is $99. Hours: 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m.–2 p.m. Saturday. Phone: (417) 544-4001. Web: BRXInc.com
