DeLong Plumbing Two Inc. moved Aug. 11 to 1309 S. Scenic Ave., after the May tornadoes destroyed its Battlefield office. The plumbing contractors worked from a temporary location at 2851 S. Campbell Ave. before purchasing an old home on two acres on South Scenic. |quot|We're going to build a 3,000-square-foot shop in the back,|quot| said owner Garry DeLong (pictured). |quot|We're here permanent the rest of our natural lives.|quot| The converted office space is double the size of the Battlefield location, DeLong said, and the shop should be complete in October.
Stripes Ltd. relocated July 10 to 1800 W. College St. The business was located at 2100 W. College and moved to a bigger building because of growing business, said owner Dick Harper. Stripes Ltd. is a sign and graphics company that performs striping on cars, boats and airplanes. |quot|You've seen our work on Springfield (police department cars) and Cox ambulances,|quot| Harper said. The business is open 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Hwy. OO Antiques |amp| Flea Market opened for business April 1 at 21 Inland Harbor Road, Kimberling City. The 3,800-square-foot market, co-owned by Greg Yoder and Anna Johnson, has 52 booths, |quot|which are all occupied,|quot| said Yoder. |quot|There is a real nice mix of collectibles, home dcor and antiques.|quot| Yoder and Johnson also operate ABC Outlet, an office supply outlet store and 80 storage units, called Stor-All, at the site. Hwy. OO Antiques |amp| Flea Market, located on Highway OO just east of Highway 13, is open 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.
The former Shoney's Inn and Suites of Branson at 1970 W. Highway 76 converted to a Holiday Inn Express Hotel |amp| Suites June 1. The new Holiday Inn Express is one of four Branson hotels owned by Grand Hospitality Inc. and managed by Leisure Hotels LLC. Grand Hospitality invested $1.5 million to renovate and upgrade the property, said Jim Sadler, principal owner. Sadler said renovations included a continental breakfast area and 12 Jacuzzi suites. Grand Hospitality also owns Hotel Grand Victorian, Guesthouse International and Best Value Inn in Branson.
