Dapper
Downtown gentleman’s barbershop Dapper moved Dec. 10 to the ground floor of The Sterling, 312 Park Central East. Owner
Sean Brownfield said the barbershop leases 6,200 square feet from The Vecino Group LLC for undisclosed terms, and he estimated renovation costs at nearly $800,000. The five-chair barbershop, managed by
Micah Tudor, also features a haberdashery dealing in men’s accessories, including Stetson hats, preowned Rolexes, and boots and shoes by Noah Waxman and Alden. The retail space also offers custom tailoring. Brownfield said the company is targeting the day after Christmas for opening the 2,600-square-foot member’s lounge in the basement, which would be accessed via thumbprint identification at a secret passageway. Once open, Brownfield plans to add eight employees to the current staff of five. Membership is $90 per month, which includes a haircut and shave, shoe shines and a drawer to store spirits and belongings in a private cabinet. Haircuts range from $28-$40 and shaves are $35-$65.
