Dame Chiropractic LLC emerged as the new name of Harshman Chiropractic Clinic LLC with the purchase of the business on April 1 by Dr. Bryan Dame from Dr. Kort Harshman for undisclosed terms. Dame, who owns Dame Chiropractic with wife Jackie, said the 636 W. Republic Road, Ste. 108, clinic employs six, with the goal of bringing on another doctor next year. Harshman plans to continue working at the practice for at least a couple years, Dame said, noting signage and rebranding changes likely would be made in the third quarter. Harshman Chiropractic was founded in 1990 and Dame joined in 2010. The company’s website lists services including spinal manipulation, electrical muscle stimulation and ultrasound and cold laser therapies.

Keikeu
After opening an eatery last year in Nixa at 14 Mill Market, Leo Kim added a second venture, Keikeu LLC, on March 20. Korean for cake, Keikeu’s menu at the 203 E. Mount Vernon St. food hall mostly centers around coffees, teas and desserts. Keikeu replaced Lindsay’s Kitchen LLC, which exited 14 Mill Market in February, as owner Lindsay Kirtlan turned her bakery back into a home-based operation. Kim, who in January 2024 opened The Gochu LLC, which does business as The Gochu Handcrafted Korean BBQ Bowl at 14 Mill Market, said startup costs for Keikeu were roughly $70,000. He signed a one-year lease for an undisclosed rate with Rich and Leah Callahan, who own the food hall. The Gochu remains in business at 14 Mill Market. Keikeu has a full espresso bar along with boba tea, which are served with tapioca pearls. Dessert options include cakes with flavors such as red velvet and caramel pecan, cookies, croissants and an Italian dessert called maritozzi, which are brioche buns with cream on the inside. Prices mostly range $3.50-$7.

Mercy Clinic Primary Care – Ozark
Mercy Springfield Communities held a March 5 ribbon-cutting ceremony, signaling the launch of its second primary care clinic in Ozark. The over 2,750-square-foot clinic at 1758 S. 20th St. is expected to serve more than 2,000 patients per year, Mercy officials say. Dubbed Mercy Clinic Primary Care – Ozark, the facility replaced an Ozzie Smith IMAC Regeneration Center located in a retail center that’s southeast of the U.S. Highway 65 and South Street interchange in Ozark. Mercy officials declined to disclose startup costs or lease terms for the primary care clinic. Mercy spokesperson Ettie Berneking said Tina O’Byrne serves as clinic manager for this location, as well as the health care system’s other primary care clinic in Ozark at 505 N. 25th St., which opened in 2016. Berneking said the clinic takes same-day appointments and provides health care services including routine exams, school and sports physicals, treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, vaccinations, wound care and management of ongoing health conditions.
