Kearney St., Ste. 100, also gains a team of engineering, design, simulation, process automation and programming employees at the Lafayette office. The team specializes in the manufacturing, oil and gas industries, and among the five employees joining D3 are VGI owners Zed LaCour and Vaughn Klos. Fortner-insurance.comKum & Go LCWest Des Moines, Iowa-based Kum & Go LC moved its south Springfield convenience store Oct. 10 across Campbell Avenue to a $4.1 million building at 5343 S. Campbell Ave. According to District Supervisor
Tim McCaleb, the regional chain built the 5,000-square-foot store to replace the limited size and aging space at 5384 S. Campbell. Opening about a month behind its scheduled completion, the gas station has eight fuel dispensers, including diesel and E-85 options. Pizza, baked goods and breakfast and deli sandwiches are made inside, McCaleb said. Equipped with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design features, the store is one of 22 under review for LEED certification. The project is part of the 430-store chain’s efforts to invest $24 million through 2015 in its stores throughout Greene County. Kum & Go, which operates 38 stores in Springfield and 75 across Missouri, also released a smartphone app for searching store locations and redeeming digital coupons. Hours: 24/7.
