Community Wholesale Tire Inc.
Midwest tire distributor Community Wholesale Tire Inc. began operating in a 64,000-square-foot warehouse July 13 at 2925 E. Jean St., in North Creek Business Park. The Hazelwood-based company bought the $2.9 million speculative building in May from Rankin Development LLC and created 20 jobs in the move. The $4.3 million capital investment plan is Community Wholesale Tire’s third distribution center in Missouri, representing a total of 500,000 square feet, General Manager
Bryan Littrell said. From warehouses in Hazelwood and Kansas City, the 80-year-old, Berra family-owned company serves 3,000 tire dealers in seven states. With some $24 million in inventory companywide, Community Wholesale brands include Uniroyal, Bridgestone, Pirelli and Kumho. Executive Vice President
Andy Berra said the Springfield warehouse serves dealers in a 200-mile radius. He said the company has delivered tires to southwest Missouri for about 50 years, and among the roughly 250 current customers are B&I Tire and Mitchem Tire. Littrell works in Springfield with 12 employees and five delivery trucks. Hours: 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m.–noon Saturday. Phone: (844) 989-2984. Web:
