Brent Brown, Summer Trottier and
Brittany Bilyeu invested $50,000 at startup, largely in screen-printing equipment, materials and inks, said Brown, who manages the venture’s administrative work. Brother-and-sister Brown and Trottier previously worked for the family business, Summer Fresh Supermarkets Inc., a 10-store regional grocery chain they sold to Price Cutter in November. Brown also has partnered in Bookkeeping Plus, which opened in May and handles the online boutique’s books. Bilyeu, a recent Missouri State University graphic design graduate and artist, custom designs and screen prints the items in the former Summer Fresh corporate offices at Kickapoo Corners, 3554 S. Campbell Ave. With Trottier handling operations and marketing, Brown said the partners have a set an aggressive $100,000 sales goal this year. In the first month, Brown said Culture Flock Clothing sold 100 T-shirts, including shipments to Spain and London. A fall line is scheduled to debut in September, with additional items such as greeting cards and jewelry. Web:
