Athletic & Rehabilitation Center LLC Overland Park, Kan.-based Athletic & Rehabilitation Center LLC opened a full-service physical and occupational therapy clinic Oct. 17 at 1711 W. Battlefield Road, Ste. Q, in Kansas Square. The Springfield clinic – ARC’s 10th location and its first outside of the Kansas City metropolitan area – is led by Springfield native
Isaac Cowart, who holds a doctor of physical therapy from Rockhurst University. Cowart and Dave Hagar, physical therapy assistant, are the clinic’s only employees, and they offer physical, hand and aquatic therapy, as well as work conditioning, pre-employment testing, functional capacity assessments and wellness programs. Cowart said about 70 percent of ARC’s business is related to workers’ compensation, and the company’s expansion to Springfield was due to requests from insurance adjusters who had worked with ARC in the Kansas City market. Cowart said a Wichita, Kan., clinic is scheduled to open in December. Hours: 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Phone: (417) 799-3377. Web:
