Mid-West Family Marketing
Mid-West Family Marketing, the local arm of Madison, Wis.-based Mid-West Family Broadcasting Group, on March 15 rebranded KOMG country music station 105.1 Bob to 105.1 The Bull. Broadcast from its offices at 2453 E. Elm St., General Manager
Scott Meier said the name change reflects a transition from an announcer-less format, similar to digital streaming, of 1970s-80s country music. “The station became less relevant in that format,” said Meier, noting The Bull’s focus is now on ’90s songs through contemporary hits and local programs. “We felt it was time to adjust that and make it a more fun and live programming effort.” KOMG added nationally syndicated morning show “Big D & Bubba” and programs produced by local on-air talent Meghan Socha and Cameron Combs.
