Open for Business: Agrario's

Downtown diners have another option in Agrario's, a Mediterranean-influenced restaurant at 311 S. Patton Ave. Eric and Julie Zackrison (above) opened Agrario's Oct. 29, after a $300,000 renovation to the 1860-built structure. The restaurant seats 180 guests in its 5,400 square feet of space. Lunch is available 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, while dinner is served 5-11 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. A Sunday brunch also is available. The upstairs bar, named Bodega, is open 4 p.m.-1:30 a.m. Menu items range from $6 to $9 for lunch and $12 to $28 for dinner, Eric Zackrison said. Zackrison managed Kremer's Wine Bar for 1 1/2 years before opening Agrario's.

Midwest Security Laminate opened for business Oct. 21 at 2315 S. Campbell Ave. The company sells and installs safety and security laminate for the inside of windows for homes, offices and automobiles, said owner John Husong. Ottawa, Canada-based Advanced Coatings Engineering Security Laminates Inc. manufactures the product, which Husong said, "makes glass bullet- and bomb-resistant." Midwest Security Laminate is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Pam Caylor opened Sport It Nov. 1 at 145 W. Hwy. 174 in Republic's Village Green Square. Caylor and three employees perform screen printing and engraving on items such as uniforms, T-shirts, trophies and banners for area schools, parks and recreational athletic teams. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.

Nu's Floral opened for business Nov. 7 at 2906 S. Campbell Ave. Nhueng Pham, who owns and operates the florist shop with husband David Vu, said she carries fresh and silk flowers, green plants, and seasonal gifts. Pham leases 800 square feet in Michael Ngo's Imperial Plaza. Nu's Floral is open 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
